~Serranos Chapter~

~WILD BILL
Born 1842 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, being the eldest of 4 children. Did his share of hunting, fishing and hell raising in the backwoods where some say he was high spirited, and others, that he was an outright trouble maker. Nonethless at 17, Bill was out on his own, being independently minded. Arkansas, being increasingly deprived of its state rights by people up North, found folks being forced to take drastic measures to preserve their honor against disgrace and ruin. Bill joined the Confederate Army at Little Rock Post in 1861 figuring on a quick war. Bill, not warming up to being ordered around, left the ranks to run with the Rangers resting at the Hewitt place near Grapevine and found this style fight ing more to his liking and thus earning the name Wild Bill. In 1863 he hooked up again with regular forces under the command of General Nate Forrest. Meanwhile Bill met the love of his life and married a Yankee gal, Miss Elizabeth, in 1864. Bill finishes out the war with honor and bears no shame for any services rendered to the Confederate cause. Bill with wife Elizabeth strike out for a fresh start in the West where his beloved wife becomes his 'Prairie Rose'. "The Bunch I run with here abouts are folks who will be pushed just so far and then the lead flys straight and true. If you ever pass our way stop and sit a spell. Always have a jug coolin in the well." invites Wild Bill. Californios Member~

~JOHN LONE ARROW
What a Greek and a Coyotero Apache have in common is John Lone Arrow, a.k.a. Cha-to. Born of a Greek emigrant father and an Apache mother, John had the typical half breed problems of being a misfit to either way of life. Being raised Apache, John fit in and was a favorite Chief of Scouts for General Crook and his parleys with Geronimo's renegade band. John joined up with the Wild Bunch when the government turned thier back on the very Apache Scouts that helped them bring peace to Arizona by shipping them to Florida along with the renegade Apaches. Thats one ride John declined to take. "Never trust the Government!" is John's favorite recite~ Californios Member~

~BLASTING CAP ANNIE
Blasting Cap Annie claims "I can out ride, out shoot, out cuss, and out wrestle any man at the Hole in the Wall." Nobodies been foolish enough to take up her challenge to date that least ways is still alive or lived long enough to talk about it. Being raised by a hardtack Miner and Muleskinner had alot to do with Annie's rougher side. Oh yea! When dressed up in a Saloon dress she puts Salome to shame. Course, being dressed up don't happen often at the Hole in the Wall, which is good cause nobody wants to be beat at arm wrestling by a perty Saloon Gal~ Californios Member~

~SAMUAL SALVADOREY
Samual Salvadorey~ AKA Salty Sam, Dos Equis, the Edge, Senoir Sam, Siesta Sam, and Shanghi Sam, world's oldest living Gunfighter, etc. etc. etc. Nobody knows when Sam was born, it could have been before they were keeping written records of such things~ But they say the town of Tucumcari will never be the same. In fact, the townfolk, do to Sam's shananagins, tried to give New Mexico back to Mexico if they would take Sam with it. The town, out of desperation, even offered to give him a First Class Stage Ticket free of charge good to anywhere at all but Tucumcari, but Sam, true to form, got drunk and sold the ticket to the highest bidder at the Boar's Head Saloon. Unforunately for Sam, he got so wasted that they sold him to some shanghiers looking for sailors. After many years Sam returned on a schooner from China and ended up in San Francisco just in time for the great California Gold Rush. Sam ended up working for the Railroad. When the Railroad got to San Bernardino, Sam hightailed it to the town of Dale, near 29 Palms and got gold fever big time, working the Virginia Dale mine there. Sam eventually ended up in Pioneertown and with his gold profits opened up a Leather Works Shop at the edge of town. Sam claims, " Everybody and their dog thinks they are gunfighters nowadays, but you ain't nothiin if you don't have and edge! How do ya think I got to be the world's oldest living gunfighter? Cause I got the edge!" Californios Member~

~HENRY FENCEPOST
Henry can get you into trouble faster than waking up to a rattler in your bedroll. Oh he is not malicous or even mean. Henry spends most his time trying to get out of situations where is mouth took him when he wasn't looking. Oh, and he don't just get himself in hot water, he takes you with him, no problem whatsoever. Its like your dealing with two people, Henry and Henry's Mouth. "Hey Crusty, this here woman wants to know if you're willing to dicker!" questions Henry. Oh its an innocent question but it is a perfect example of how Henry can set you up for impending doom! We just hope Henry's Mouth don't get us all kilt. Henry wandered into Pioneertown and played Piano at the Jack Cass Saloon for grub money. Fortunatey for Henry, he met an Indian Maiden and fell head over heels in love, and soon enough he was married Indian style and seems happier than a pig in a wallow. Henry still plays his Saloon Piano and has become somewhat famous and in high demand at various shindigs here and about, especially over in Calico~ Californios Member~

~YOUNG GUN CHARLIE
Charlie makes being an outlaw......well...fun! Ran with the 'Regulators' till there wern't nobody left standin. Came to the 'Hole in the Wall' and amazed one and all with his Magic Acts, which he manages to perform on an old crate. Not one to avoid trouble or confrontations, Charlie calls the 'Sundance Saloon' home. He prefers the company of Tucson Tammra, as many in the gang have had the misfortune to discover. "You be famous cause you ride with the Wild Bunch and your mug is on that Wanted Poster over yonder", exclaims Charlie, "but I can make you and your horse disappear! Course I can't always bring you back in that order... as on occasion, heads and tails get crossed......either way you'd be more famous, would'nt you say?" How you answer that question can have you pushing up daisies over on Boot Hill pronto, which may or may not, to be truthful, make you all that famous~ Californios Member~

~MESCAL GRANDE
Mescal is sort of the standard to which the Wild Bunch adheres to. Good at fightin, good at drinkin, good at shootin, bad at apologizin, bad at respectin the law, but always respectful of Ladies, courteous to Preachers, kind to children, excluding brats, but above all, always without exception, one that never gives an inch, ever, no matter what~ "If you must insist on living, at least have some stinkin style, hey Amigo! Don't be like this worm here at the bottom of the bottle," states Mescal~ Californios Member~

~TUCSON TAMMRA
Tammra joined the Bunch in Tucson where she was plying her trade at the 'Silver Dollar' Saloon until Young Gun Charlie caught her attention. You might say it was a pre~ordained match made in, dare we say Heaven, or least ways, at the Hole in the Wall, courtesy of Preacher Bill's few but almighty words, "Lord knows we are gathered here to join these two together and those we join together ain't always perfect but we know the Lord blesses souls where love abids. And Lord, above all, bless the poor Soul that dares to come between em. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition! Amen"~ Californios Member~

~RIO CRISTY
Rio Cristy, aka Crusty and former member of the Dirty Socks Gang. Rio has a knack for trouble and can be most handy at creating it when it is not naturally abounding. Born is Bisbee Arizona in 1833, he spent most his time South of the Border trading with Mexicans and Chiricahuas. Half brother to the bastard half breed Amarillo Velatorio, having the same father~ It is rumored that Rio fathered the notorious Joey Garza, while recouperating from a gunshot wound in Sonora, Mexico. He was nursed back to health by a lovely Senorita, who was also the local village shaman and natural healer, and very much available. Others say it was Rio's half brother, Amarillo Velatorio who was actually responsible. Regardless of who did what, Joey was infamous for killing Judge Roy Bean, as well as numerous other Law Dogs and Gringos in and around West Texas and Northeast Mexico. Joey was actually killed by his own villagers when he went loco and tried to drown his mother and blind sister in the local river that ran through the village. ~ACE HANLIN
Ace Hanlin, the scourge of the Sagebrush and the terror of Tucson, and quicker than quicksilver on the draw, and trickier than a lizard on a hot tin roof. The only thing faster than Ace is his reputation for being 'bigger than life'. Here's a gunslinger who could easily pass for an Actor of the greatest of Thespian skills. Not only does Ace dress the part but every move he makes is calculated to sell you 'the goods' that this here is the real deal and you best buy into it or at least step aside. Known to ever so slightly embellish his abilities, and a bit of a braggard, you best give him the benefit of the doubt least you be faster than greased lightning on the draw. "I put an Ace into this here deck of cards everytime I kill a man." claims Ace and the deck you will notice as he flashes it before your eyes holds nothing but Aces. Beyond the bravado, Ace has a likeable quality if only for knowing where He's headed with his lingo and watching the reactions of men when faced with this unrelenting ego. The question each man must ask himself, is this a real threat or a Master Performance by a bag of hot air. It's your call! Just keep in mind the Wild Bunch will always back his play so either way, you lose~ Californios Member~

~DALLAS DARLIN

~DOC GRIMM
Doc Grimm with one glance, can determine your exact height, girth and weight, course when you have carved hundreds of coffins for Boot Hill, it comes natural. For the finest in a Hole in the Wall pine box that can comfort you in the afterlife, Doc Grimm has no equal. "Ok, that unfortunate exprerience where I was accused of assisting some gunfighter to the hereafter, by knocking him on the head when he tried to get out of the coffin, was greatly exaggerated, and I was completely exculpated!" states Doc~ Californios Member~

~CLAYTON BARKEEP
Clayton Barkeep lives up to his name by providing the Hole in the Wall 'Sundance Saloon' with the most potent concoctions this side of the Rio Grande. A former chemist, Clayton can dazzle you with his creative concoctions by mixing everything from moonshine to mescal with a minimum of concomitant after effects. "Up or down, skinny or round, you'll be lucky to find the ground!" thats Clayton's Motto~ Californios Member~

~CHARLEY PRINCE
Charley Prince, former right hand man to Ben Wade and his ruthless gang of murdering cutthroats, has killed more Pinkertons and Lawdogs than the pox. Currently wanted in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Sonora Mexico, Charley seems right at home with the Wild Bunch, seeing that they are all 'WANTED' in about the same locations. Being a fringe on the loco side, do not mess with him~ The last words most hear on this earth from Charley are "Charley Prince.... Reckon you,ve heard of me!"~ Californios Member~

~BEN WADE
Former leader of a gang of malicious cutthroats who busied themselves terrorizing Southern Arizona and Northern Mexico. Especially adapt at robbing Wells Fargo Stages between Bisbee and Tucson which the Wild Bunch have hand selected as 'ripe for the pickins'. Sentenced to Yuma Prison twice but managed to escape twice. Has adopted well to the Wild Bunch which allows alot of elbow room for independence. His notoriety as a quick sketch artist seems his main positive attribute. "Fair warning, don't ever believe you are my friend, cause when it gets right down to it, I would kill you in a heart beat" claims Ben. "If you have to remember anything on this sweet earth, remember that." Besides his apparent sweet disposition, Ben often quotes the Bible, as in Proverbs 13:3, and has a cross carved on his pistol grip. Ben claims the pistol is cursed, so don't be unlucky enough to make that curse yours. Ben don't take well to singers, hummers or whistlers, so our advice is, 'best to keep your mouth shut'. ~AMARILLO VELATORIO
Amarillo Velatorio, a.k.a., Mad Dog, Tawee Saqwaa, Yellow Wake, Qua-tha Pe-lo & Deadeye. Born a half breed bastard about 1832 in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. Raised in Alta California near Lone Pine by Mojave Apaches. Caretaker Uncle Harry Wilson, who homesteaded land from the Apaches, took him in when his mother died. Learned Apache ways, molding him a misfit, and basically outright dangerous. Married Annatonia Victoria Chamma in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which seemed to calm some of his sharper edges. Became an active member of the Chamma Gang, driving cattle from Mexico to Tucson Arizona. Got Gold fever after his wife was killed in the land wars in New Mexico and settled into gold rich Holcomb Valley, adjacent to Big Bear Lake. Body count to date is 7. "Never killed an hombre that did'nt more than deserve it!" claims Amarillo. " There's always a few more deserving desgraciado babosas (wretched slugs) out there." Amarillo does not need to look for aprieto, it seems to find him quick enough. Half brother to Rio Cristy, having the same father~ Californios & Arizonians Territorial Member~

~ROY O'BANNON
Roy O'Bannon, Irish emigrant who came West to learn about cattle ranching and horse breeding in Lincoln County, New Mexico. Got involved in the land wars and originally worked for two fellow Irishmen, J.J. Dolan and John Riley. Roy actually changed loyalties after the death of John Tunstall and became a member of the Regulators. Billy the Kid's murder convinced him that the Regulator days were short lived. Roy extended his gang experience to train robbery, which was, soon enough, discovered not to be his forte, nor his makeshift gangs expertise. Composed entirely of outright misfits and screwups, the gang managed to blow to hell, 3 Wells Fargo Safes and, as many Union Pacific Railroad cars, including all the contents thereof. Busy fighting among themselves, the gang barely had time to fiend off the Pinkertons and Railroad Agents that were in constant pursuit. Finally, they were all jailed in Carson City, Nevada but managed to escape. "I'll be first then lads, to hoist a drink to that grand occasion!" exclaims Roy. Roy continued West just in time for the Great California Gold Rush and fell in with the Wild Bunch near Pioneertown. Once settled in, Roy became somewhat more successful at outlawing, thanks to the Bunch. Having a real love of horse racing, Roy developed a new breed of distance race horses by cross breeding Mustangs with various other breeds. Californios Member~
