~ MAYOR'S MESSAGE ~
Just what is it that makes the Wild Bunch.....well......the Wild Bunch? One thing for sure, we ain't trying to be 'the best' at anything or 'best anywhere'. In fact, the Wild Bunch takes great pride at being whatever it is we are that comes natural from constantly 'wingin it'. It ain't easy being us cause Lord knows there's alotta competition from the more traditional groups, which is about everybody and their Aunt Agnes. We stand alone with our style of performances.. Can you wing it? The upmost quallification of a Wild Buncher is the ability to wing it, or improv. Thats why we never memorize lines or scripts. Course, the tricky part is knowing Movie scenes well enough that we always know where the scenes are headed and where they will pan out. Why, some groups are trying so hard to be the 'best', they easily fall head over heels into being the worst without even trying. Now, that there erks the Wild Bunch. Just when we think we are good at being just us, some bad 'wanna be good' group comes along and blows everybody out of the water. Dab blame it! If you're gonna insist on being the 'best' then be real damm good and if you're gonna be bad then be really damm bad, got it! And don't go writing off your lousy performances as satire, cause then you be moving into Wild Bunch territory. The latter is more or less our forte, our Creme de Mint! Why, we are so good at being bad without trying to be bad that we end up perty dang good!

Blue Bloods-Not
Now we have noticed that everybody wants to be related to some famous Old West gizzer or part blooded to an Indian Warrior. Or, everybody wants to be related to some notorious Lawdog or Outlaw. Well, we take it a step further by being proud to be none of the above. Hell, we don't have to pretend to be related to an outlaw, we are the dang outlaws, half breeds and misfits that your mother warned you about and that everybody's rushing to pretend to be. We don't give a dang about how famous your old west relatives were, or how pure your intentions are, or how many movies you were an extra in. Some performers are dedicated to how pure and how authentic they can be. Hey, its over! You missed it! And what do you really know about old west intentions anyhow? And what were the real motives of those who lived during that time? We look for a potential members depth of character and their willingness to perform. Ethnicity or past triflings with the powers that be are not factors of concern for the Wild Bunch. What matters is your word and playing your cards straight. This allows the Bunch to always back your play. To be a Wild Buncher you have to be a prima donna, a prima persona, bigger than life without trying. You have to believe in yourself and always project that super ego. And what's even better, or even worse, is that we were being just 'who we are' before it became so dang popular to be 'guilty' of something. Our true heros are the unsung characters that shaped the Old West. Those that stood outside the law most of the time, but, on occasion, found themselves even fighting on the side of the law when the situation warranted it.

Politically Incorrect
OK look, if you want to be uptight, thats your concern. We are here to have fun. If we are having fun, we figure you are having fun. If you do not want to have fun, then we suggest you hire some other group.

No Skits Ever during Shows
We don't do 'skits'. Our performances are based on our version of Famous Old West Movies and are ongoing from start to finish. No gun reload breaks, no standups and bows after being shot, no multiple skits during an event. We prefer continuity, suspense, ongoing central plot, being dragged off by Saloon Gals and the Undertaker upon being shot, and above all, improv on action lines! 'Wingin it' allows the Bunch the option to include you, not as a spectator, but actual participant. You won't catch us reciting word for word, the dialogue from your favorite western because we will alter those lines to fit our version, which is always dictated by the atmosphere surrounding us and dedicated to involving you. Why watch someone copy your favorite movie scene when the Wild Bunch will include you into that very same scene so you are a part of the action yourself? When we are asked to perform a 'skit' at an Event, we just borrow from our Movie Show, scenes that would fit most appropiately into the Event or situation. We will borrow one scene or a collection of ongoing scenes and loop them into one presentation with continuity. That is the main difference between the Wild Bunch and other Groups that only use skits and Groups that do nothing more than copy certain scenes from movies.
